Alexander Matveichev was born on January, 9th, 1933 in Tatarstan, in village of Bukeny . In 1944 he entered and in 1951 finished the Kazan cadet military school. And after that he finished the Ryazan infantry school (1953). Getting the rank of lieutenant he commanded a machine-gun and a shooting platoon in China and in Baltic Ripublics. After demobilisation (1955) he studied at the Kazan Aviation and Krasnoyarsk Polytechnical Universities (1956-62). He got the diploma of an engineer-electromechanic. He was a worker, engineer, chief engineer and director of state enterprises. In the seventies of the last century he for two years worked as an electrical engineer at the nickel plant in the town of Moa , Cuba . Beginning from 1993 he was a journalist, a press secretary and a translator from English and Spanish, working with technological specialists who came to work at the enterprises of Siberia from the USA and Spain . As well he was an assistant to the deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Legislative Assembly of Krasnoyarsk Territory . He visited several foreign countries.

Since 1959 he has lived in Siberia, the city of Krasnoyarsk .

His first short stories were published in 1959. He is a member of the Union of the Russian writers, the author of several books of verses and prose.
